"We were initially drawn to Pro K-9 primarily because they offered in-home evaluations and training. At
the time we had a pet, Remi, that had serious dog aggression issues, so we knew we could not just show up at a typical Saturday
morning obedience class...Although we were very skeptical and had initial doubts as to the ability of a positive reinforcement
program to be useful in training a dog like ours, the initial in-home evaluation demonstrated just how easy it was for Amber
to make her sit and come on command using positive reinforcement. In just a few visits, Amber had shown us a variety

"BJ has improved greatly. He is still very high energy. I have been told on several occasions how impressed
people were with the way he behaved He is a really smart little guy. I feel he is doing very well and for the
most part it has been Amber's training that has made the difference. She has taught me the correct way to do things.
BJ and I have worked together with Amber and on our own now and the only times he reverts back to bad habits is when I don't
get to work with him enough. He needs to have his mind challenged and his body moving to tire him out. I do think
this was one of my better decisions and would recommend Pro K-9 to anyone who is having problems with their dog."

"I contacted Pro K-9 because...Deuce wasn't getting along with our other dog Baxter and our four cats.
Amber came out to our house and we worked on sit, come, wait, down, heel, and we learned leadership and what to do so your
dog realizes you are the leader. Amber also addressed issues that were unique to Deuce i.e. greeting people at the door
in an appropriate way...I have been very happy with the training we have received. Amber is very knowledgeable and is
good with animals. She is patient but firm and gets the respect of the dog...I have had several dogs and have attended
several obedience classes. This is the first time I have had in-home training as well as class training. I do
like this approach because you get the individual attention at home as well as how to handle different situations that happen

Our daughter needed training in being more assertive with our dog. Amber was very good in working with Hope to get her

aggressive relationship with our toddler son, and were actually accepting of her general obedience. However, after the
evaluation session it was pretty clear that we were not in control of her in our home and that was contributing to her feeling
of uneasiness around him. We were concerned after the first visit that we would have a hard time following the program
because it felt strict to us. We were surprised to find how quickly all of us adjusted to the new rules - not being
up on the furniture, wearing a leash around the house, not randomly petting her, etc. The first few days were actually
kind of sad for us, but the new rules really were not a big deal and we have no problem enforcing them now. We noticed
immediate improvements in her general obedience after the first session. In general, Amber did the dirty work of training
her when she was here, and then we spent our practice time training ourselves how to get it right. Abbey took to
it very well and mastered the basic commands quickly. We were also surprised at just how much Abbey enjoyed and looked
forward to the training - a fantastic side effect!...We were very happy with the job that Amber did with Abbey and with us.
She was professional and knowledgeable, and her instruction was excellent. She clearly explained what she was doing
and why, which was what we needed. And she really helped us appreciate Abbey in a way that we had not before."

breed. Amber knows her stuff and is quick to point out the root of the problem then goes on to both explain and demonstrate

way for both the dog and owner to get started and it enables the trainer to know the dog before allowing it to attend group

Amber did an excellent job training my Akita King...She showed me how to train and discipline King with just voice commands
instead of yelling at him. His temperament has improved and he listens so much better. You have to work
